Does it matter if the rubber cover has split?

Guy said - when its compressed it makes no difference as it covers the inner shock back up.

iv bought second hand shocks go to somewhere trustworthy and they'll be fine if its for a 1.2 16v new model give me a shout still got three sets of these in the garage

G-Max on the whole are a bit pants tbh, but they should be ok as long as they function properly
