Shortened tow eye

Just finished shortening the tow eyes by about 2", heres mine and guppys

Not really a Project but it's a Pretty Good Idea and I think you would sell a few as the Tow Eye's do stick out quite far

surely you can just saw it down 2 inches

I cut them down then welded the thread back on, then ground down the weld, also welded the top parts that reno missed

Could you not just cut it down and cut the thread? Seems unsafe rewelding it!

Welding is just strong if not stronger than the metal itself if done properly, Could cut it down and cut a new thread though i suppose!
