my sisters bf got her one for her birthday, they keep you occupied for a while but the u just get annoyed with them. If there was a load of you having a drink and a game of golf or somit it would propably create a few laughs but thats bout it. Not for a serious gamer

get one.. plus u can hook it up to your broadband network with no extra charge unlike xbox where u have to pay.

i watched youtubes clip on it, much better on as 32" tv screen

If you like good games and graphics get a good console (360 probably best value at the moment). If you aren't bothered and enjoy setting fire to money, go for the wii

I got one at launch and hammered Zelda and Wii Sports. I've also got Wii Play, Red Steel and Eledees. I don't use it a massive amount as I spend more time on the 360, but whenever I have friends round we always end up with it on. Wii Sports is the ultimate party game. Just seeing it under the TV puts a smile on my face. But then I'm a bit of a Nintendo fan boy I suppose.

I've just took the plunge and ordered a US Wii.
Looked around when i was in the states just last week but couldn't find the console to buy but found one when i got home for $380 (about £197) delivered.
Went for a US one just for the fact of more games are out and are usually released way before Europe.
Picked up Super Paper Mario while i was there.

I am not into consoles my other half has the xbox, playstation3 and Wii.

He was sucessfull in getting me to play the wii and its a great laugh especially when you have people round for a few drinks

I would say its totally seperate to PS3 and 360

Those are both hardcore gaming consoles, focused on the all round experience. Wii is focused on (quite cheap) pure fun, will be a lot of fun Multiplayer and with non gaming types. The graphics are absoloute pants, were talking no better than Gamecube (as far as I can tell). Depends what you want out of it and what sort of gamer you are.

My mate has one and like Lee and Pumpkin say they are good fun with a few drinks and friends round. Apart from that, they are nowt to write home about. 360 4 eva!!

yup. they are all about multiplayer...I took it round the gf's at crimbo and got her mum and dad playing it with us! all about Wii SPorts too...don't bother with the rest at the moment they are all pap...

If you've liked previous incarnations of Zelda then you will love this one. It's a fantastic game and really worth getting stuck into. I've tried a few others which have been crap though. Sonic and Excite Trucks both promised a lot and they were both sh!te.

The Wii went down a storm, even my 80 yr old gran had a go!

It's not really comparable to an XBOX is it, like Lee says it looks good sat under the TV.
