Should i get rid of my clio

  TDI tyre shreader

Just landed myself a new job which comes with a company car, so my clio is going to get little use. I did ask then whether i could use my car instead of the comp one and they said yes if you want to bounce it round building sites eerrrmmm no, plus i would put milions of miles on it. The car itself isnt to bad its a focus 1.8 tddi. So my dilema is should i sell it or keep it? i have a garage where it can live but i think its abit pointless i could sell it and get something quicker for the weekends etc.
What do you guys recken?

A CLio isnt a great car to hold on to as a second as you loose so much money on it. Sell it and put the money into something more useful

keep it, you might not keep the job forever, wait until you know your jobs secured then sell (as its a new job)

Like Mike said, wait until the new job is secure, sell it and get a toy for the weekends, Lotus, Caterham etc.
Gotta Agree With You There !!!

what tax/wage do you end up paying if you get a company car.?..

i seem to remember my old man could have had a pay rise, or a company car... it was about £4k difference as i remember.... he took the car (first a golf mk4 1.6, now an audi a3 1.6) and gave his 1.8 20v passat to my old dear (who didnt have her own car before).

im not sure exactly about the money though. but its worth thinking about keeping yours and saving the money. over 3 or 4 years of having your existing 172 (youve already got it so your not loosing.. apart from depreciation??) plus if you are claiming 40p a mile too use your own car for business use then youd be quids in.

you may have made 12k more over 4 years if your dont take the company car.
