After lookin @ all the other boot installs i thought it was time to get to work on sumthin better than just the box i had in, 3 weeks l8r and this is wt i ended up with:-

This was my old one, dont have one now though. Had an alpine v12 hid behind the subs to power them and the top amp powered front crossovers and 6x9s

Heres mine. It looked like this but now the amp is on the back of the box and the sub in the middle, easier to put the shopping in the boot.

Had loads of builds in my boot!!!

Made one that took up the whole boot and JUST about fit!! LOL

Now I've changed to two tunes boxes with TWO Alpine Type R subs, in total running over 1000w RMS of bass!!

Still working on it though, sounds amazing, but need to work on the presentation a bit more. Wanted it to sound right before I began messing with the finishing touches!!

Anyways, got the false floor built etc, a little more time and it will look mint!!

W6! best sub money can buy imo! perfect all rounmder, hard hitting bass but uber cool qaulity! would have these over any sub, which is why i bought two!

nice design of the build, shame the trim finish isnt so good. tidy that up and its great! love howyou worked the brace.

what amp have you got running that sub, please tell me its a 500/1. i used a 1000/1 for the two combined.

Sean. i am indeed running a 500/1 Amplifier for me sub and for me other speakers im running a 300/4 all of which are JL Audio.

I did mess up a bit on the trim, to much glue in places :dapprove: and deffo needs sortin but for me first attempt im rather happy with it.

cracking set of gear you have matey.

drop in a graphic eq and you will be have a superb sounding car.

Just be extra generous with sound deadening. more the better

well i have only had my 197 a few months so still deciding whether or not to put a system in the car.
I wouldnt really want to cheapen the car by putting aftermarket stuff in a new car.

here is what i had in my series 2 escort rs turbo

well this is my install..

it consists of :

2 x Planet Audio 1000W RMS Amps

2 x Planet Audio 12" Subs

Planet Audio 9*9s

And Planet audio 6.5" components.

I have had custom pods built for the front speakers and also had a shelft built behind the sub box to mount the 2 channel 1000W RMS amp!

it sounds absolutely awsome

(doesnt look to shabby either)

2x 10" ss auto tekk subs 400w each
1x jenson 800w 4 channel and whci was bridged to 2 channel 400w each
2x alpine type s 6by9s pointless with the subs i had i no but i had them first so i left them in
2x alpine type s components

was loud as fook!

and the current is going to be happening soon but i have this at the moment!
