Side badge removal

Sib

Car  Clio 172 (Silver)
Mine need a good scrub up with metal cleaner (the 2.0l badges on the side of the car) but what is the best way to remove them?

I find its best to take the whole side bump strip off. This way you can ensure you don't snap clips off.

bottom first. just pull it out.

only little clips and they just unclip. brute force!

Open the door.

I wrap something like bit of wood in cloth then hold it against the strip closest to the engine. Give it a good whack and it should just slide off.

Sam

against better instruction I wrapped a flat head screwdriver in a duster, inserted into the slightly visible gap between the strip and badge then leavered off from the bottom first then top and they came off a treat.

some brasso, a harsh cloth and elbow grease saw them like new in less than 10 mins. Fitted again quite easy and polished up.

Really makes a difference but fancy detailing the raised bits with black
