What Mk car do you have?

Is your headlight unit this shape? (See Picture)

Did my Mk2 Ph3 side lights and main beams just after christmas, wasnt too difficult.
The side light bulb is in a white holder, this simply just pushes into the head light unit itself. I found giving the holder a twist as you pull it out helps to remove it.

Here are the BlueVisions I put in: http://s130967247.websitehome.co.uk/clio/clio_bluevisions/

It may have a tight bite, but yeah to get it out all you need to do is pull it. Maybe some thin nosed pliars will help get a better grip on it ?

As for taking the head light unit out as you suggested in the first post, this is a bumper off job as there is one bolt on the top of the unit and I believe two more behind the bumber.
Shouldnt really be necessary to change a bulb.

Let us know how you get on.

No worries.

What bulbs have you put in? Philips Bluevisions?

I did the bluevisions more for cosmetic reasons to help match the blue/whiteness of the Xenons. They dont really make any illumination difference, not that sidelights really do anyway :)

Glad your all sorted, catch you around.
