Side mounting buckets with original belt clips

Is it possible to mount the original belt pretensioners to side mounting buckets? Bottom mounting buckets seems to limit the number of decent seats available :(

Recaro subframes have slots already out of them to mount the pre-tensioners but theyre expensive.

I'm sure you could modify others by cutting a couple of holes out of them. Whether its safe to do this I dont know

My side mounted cobra evolutions are just bolted onto the standard cobra subframes which have an eyebolt mount. Would be just as easy to mount seatbelt pretensioner to this I think.. Will try and have a look at my pile of bits at some point and see.

Ok so you have side mounts and "standard" subframes fitted? Not heard of this before!

Sorry mean just the normal cobra subframes that they supply for the clio that fit all their bottom mounted and side mounted seats

Ok that confuses me further as I had Cobra Monaco S's in one of my old cars and the subframes I had which where bolted to the bottom but there was so way they would ever be able to bolt to the sides, im clearly missing something here.

Arghh, my 'make a simple task sound complex' curse strikes again. Sidemounts bolt onto the seat, then the bottom of the sidemounts bolt onto the subframe. Can sort of see in this photo..
