Sigma 70-200 HSM II Macro F2.8

Anyone had any experiance with this lens? If I go down the D7000 route, I have seen one of these at a hell of a good price.

Looks a little on the big and heavy side and well above anything I have ever owned both size, price and quality!

Slightly worried about handheld shots, but as I am shooting equestrian at fairly high shutter speeds, Im hoping this is not too much of an issue.

I've not used this variant only the mk1

Should be very good. It may have the new sigma coating which is more like Nikons coating. Such an improvement - it doesn't fall off!

I would put money on there still being a good number of lenses that are softer than they should be or have AF issues. It is the sigma way - if you find a corker your laughing though.
