Sigma 70-210 APO lens

How do people rate this lens

i know its the older model and its from a 35 mm film slr meaning ill have to manual focus but im getting it for a very good price, thats if its any good lol.

any ideas

how old, what body is it on now? there's a chance it could need re-chipping which Sigma may or may not be able to do.

quick question also bud. been looking at some wide lenses and noticed that some ranging right up to 50mm are classes as wide lenses where as alot are classed between say 7 and 24mm, what is it that can make the larger lenses be classed as a wide angle lens or is it just that the 10mm one for example are super wides.

you won't notice a normal wide angle on a cropped sensor camera...hardly anyway unless it's a superwide or a fish eye

if you're after a 70-210 lens, the Nikkor 70-210mm f/4-5.6D is legendary.

That thing looks rather old, probably safe to say it'll need re-chipping (unless its just Canon that has the issue with old Sigma gear) which probably isn't possible now.
