sigma alarms

any of you guys got or had sigma alarms?

i have been quoted £185 for a sigma m32 cat 2 to 1 upgrade for my clio 182.

works of the renault key

any comments guys?

renault used to use sigma as an after market fitment alarm for years. not a bad unit and didnt give any more trouble than any other alarm ever did. its rated cat 1 which is good as well.

never had any problems either he said.

Whats the difference between cat 1 & 2 ?

I thought my sigma was a cat 1
So how come they only fit a cat2 now as standard?

I thought 182s came with a cat. 1 alarm already fitted.

I had a Sigma M34 fitted to my import 172. Its fine, cant complain and actually has more features than the one Renault would have fitted.

Fitting it gives you a cat 1-2 rating according to the certificate of fitment I have.

Its an import Black Fox.

cat 2 is imobiliser only,
