silenced de-cat, performance affect ?

Hi guys, i'm having my centre silencer changed on Monday due to loose baffles ,but ive just thought i could get the silencer put into the de-cat to try and loose some of the raspiness..

Will i loose any performance from doing this ?

Would i be best putting a silencer in the centre section to maintain back pressure, or as long as there is one silencer should this not be affected ?

Cheers Rob.

THis is what mine sounds like... its a janspeed full system and ktec decat, between 2.5k and 4k theres a terrible rasp/tinny noise you can kind of hear it in this video...

Does this sound normal to you guys..

Noise doesnt bother me, louder the better, however sounding shite does :|

Cheers

Tricky one. I'm fussy with exhausts. If they sound s**t/too loud they go!!!! I got rid of a ktec stealth as it sounded w**k, sooooo raaaaaaaspy. I was embarrassed (sp) to drive the thing tbh. Lasted a week. In my experience a silenced de cat will have no marked affect, only the proper cat will. If you like loud but not raspy i think a yozza might be a good call

mine sounded like that when it was put in brand new, after a few hundred miles it stopped a good bit and i certainly cant hear the tinny noise inside the car anyway. Having said that ever heard an m3? sounds exactly like that!

my de-cat sounds no different to my cat, so don't see the point in a silenced one

What im failing to understand is a yozza system is a full straight pipe and with a decat even more of just a pipe. So how will that improve the raspy noise? I dont want it overally loud but if removing the centre silencer and having a pipe put in and then a tiny silencer the de-cat will help noise im all game for that... :)

i just think it sounds crap you can hear the rattle/tiny noise in my vid

I like the noise once its in second, but up close u can hear that rattle/tinny noise which is the problem,. otherwise the sound is pretty decent :).
