Silenced Decat

Got my Northwest Performance 172 silenced decat fitted yesterday. Took them two hours to fit it but they only charged 30 quid. Getting them to quote a price wihtout knowing work involved FTW

Really happy with it as the sound is amazing but not too loud. It revs alot more freely now and acceleration seems to have improved slightly. Engine management light hasn't come on yet either.

How much are silenced decat's?

Are the more restrictive than a standard decat? So still arent as good as a full decat?

they are a brill company. i ordered some brembo HC discs from them and fitted them on saturday. shame there isnt an outlet nearer me!

my engine management light came on but just buy one of those 20 quid code readers off ebay and its a doddle to clear the fault yourself.

They are the same as a standard de-cat just with a silencer. They both give the same results.

The silencer is only there to stop the loudness you still get a different sound when going fast. (Than a cat)

It was £125 + £8 delivery, also got a manifold to cat fiiting kit for £10.99. It's no less restrictive than a standard decat as pipe is same diameter.

Still a straight though pipe exactly the same. Its only full cat that has any material in the actual pipe

Would this stop my exhaust (long life with ktec decat) being so damn loud then???

Just so you know, on that section of the website, you've made a small mistake, I can't see the prices of anything with a black background (which is every other one) as the text is black too, so I have to highlight it.

Website works fine for me I can see all the prices.

My Ktec stealth isn't much louder now with the silenced decat than it was with the cat. If anything it's probably better as it doesn't seem to drone now.
