The car when it arrived
First job- engine bay.
Engine cover removed and water misted over the main parts of the bay.
Sprayed with AF citrus and agitated with brushes and rinsed off/doused.
Aerospace 303 applied to plastics
The, arches and shuts cleaned
And cleansed with Prime Strong
Metal details polished with autosol, 50/50:
AF citrus left to dwell
Folllowed by snow foam
Details agitated
Washed 2BM with BTBM and a Dodo SN wash mitt
Iron contam removed with Iron-x
Clayed (its actually born slippy in the bottle)
Whilst drying I found some more contam on the roof. Back to square 1!
Inspection
Bar a few small defects the paint was very swirl free as you might expect for a new car. However there was some hollogramming on the bonnet which was worth removing.
Sorted.
Prime strong delivering the goods as always. It really made the flake more visible.
Followed by 2 x coats of AF tough coat.
Next- Bouncer’s 22 wax
This is the first time I’ve used the wax on a whole car – I was blown away.
The glossy reflections it adds to the surface is incredible! So totally impressed I will be using it more often now.
Rear plastics dressed with 303 Aerospace, front plastics with Bouncer’s 22 (yes, a wax you can use on trim!).
A quick 50/50 of Bouncer’s on the door pillars. (applied to the right)
Wipedown with Glos
FK1000 applied to the shuts/sills/wheels
Metal details polished with Autosol
Interior-
Vacuumed
IPA wipedown
Britemax#6 on gloss plastics
Werkstat Satin on dash/plastics
Perforated leather dash section and gaitor- AF Leather cleaner and conditioner
Afters.
I was hoping for some more time to get some pictures in good light before the car was picked up but not with the recent weather!
Lacquer failure on the wheels
