Hi all i been hunting around high an low for someone who stocks these, i was quoted £265 delivered, however if 10 are bought , its 15% off and if 20 its 20% off, not sure if this is any good but any comments would be good an if anyone is interested? I am not sure what kind of discounts we should be looking at, i know on here they were advertised at £165 but that never come off. The discount is with evo-s.co.uk

You try getting a V6 airbox to sound as bats**t mental as a simota though.

Gives a s**t what it sounds like? It will most likely give you less performance than a standard box lol. If you want a filter to sound mental but dont care about performance just bolt a s**tty open IK on?

Why would you ever want your car to sound "good" but remove bhp/torque? Sounds chav tastic.

either way loads of people love em an theres some that hate them, theres still demand for them

LOL wondered how long it would be for the CS sheep Nazis to wade in to this.

a filter/airbox/IK is NEVER going to give you any noticable gains, certainly not on the F4R. Even if you spend silly money your going to see possibly 2 maybe 3bhp? Try feeling that in the real world.

As for this 'remove bhp' it really bugs me when people who have no experience of a simota just reel off the standard guff about sucking in hot air.

After doing many RS Tuner data log runs, inlet temps are extremely low at anything above 35mph, so when you want to be going quickly its just not an issue. There is a definate rise if your sat in traffic or trickling along at 20 yes, but if your in that situation why do you desperately need 3 or 4 bhp more?

Oh and LOL at the 'chav' comment. That'll make any car that runs a non-standard induction setup chav then? All those cup racers with their 'pikey' open cone filters eh?

********

Anyway regardless, for those actually interested in a Simota, dont let the people who spout off the usual nonsense put you off.

On trailing/half throttle they are nice and quiet for town driving, however when you want to press on they give a lovely soundtrack and add a bit of drama to what in my opinion is an otherwise very dull sounding engine.

On the move the whole 'hot air' issue is virtually null and void

Its one of the best things i've ever done to my car and i wouldnt be without it in a hurry.

Exactly what you said tom, i dont understand why people even bother to post if they simply want to just pull something apart an they are not even interested in it. I will be buying a Simota regardless just cant wait to get one!

Good luck with this lads (and ladies!).

I managed to grab one on eBay around a year ago for £150 and f**king love the thing.

I couldn't agree more with your comments, Tom. If anyone is genuinely worried about heat soak just relocate the battery. It's on my list of things to do but for now I run a simple CAF to it.

Coupled with my Stealth exhaust I'm happy as larry :) .

LOL CS Sheep Nazi  PLEASE add this under my name..

Anyway to respond to your highlighted text, £60 for a brand new Espace V6 airbox? which is 10 times better than the standard ph2 airbox. Ill be able to give you a before and after bhp figure in Oct. Your paying what £200+ for this awesome filter that I doubt gives u anymore bhp over a standard box and if anything, less.
