The best place to look is your local paper or free adds, your more likely to find a nice one that has belonged to a little old Lady and hasn't been in a ram raid at MDC, they do turn up.

I've got a mk2 atm... wel, I've just sold it.
I wanted an MX5 but they're not practical. So a nice little 1.4 Mk would do me nicely.

Have you tried the local car auctions, thats where the dealers send the cars they take in PX and don't want on the forecourt because they are more than 3 years old.

Might be some old dear driving round your way in a brand new Clio, just chopped in what your looking for.

I got my 1st mk1 from an auction, might give them a ring.
I'm really wary of auctions coz I'd end up buying some heap coz i felt sorry for it. (ironically enough, how i ended up with the green mk1)

Hayley, be as fussy as you like girl. In my opinion there's no such thing as being too fussy when it comes to cars. I seriously won't settle for anything less than I am looking for, even if the colour is not quite what I am looking for I won't touch it. I totally understand where you are coming from.
