Size wheels & Tyres

Firstly Hi im new to the forum and new to a clio! My first one!

So what size wheel and tyre is best to have without having to mod the arches, Im planning to lower it soon but not by much only maybe 20-30mm.

Is there a right offset to have to?

Secondly, Induction Kits??

Is it gonna be worth forking out the money for a K&N or a Pipercross induction kit or would it be better to just fit a replcement element?

Cheers

Tony.

Bigup the newbie with the black clio16v. Welcome to the club!! im sure someone will be round to answer your question shortly -

Nice choice in colour BTW - black is clearly the best colour for a valver.

id go with 16" wheels for looks and performance but if u want it to look the dogs nutz then go for 17s they will fit no probs without any arch mods. The 16v arches are wide enuf ! and many people would say just use a replacement element instead of a induction kit , but if u want it to sound very grunty and maybe loose a little bit of power on hot days go for an induction kit and hook up a big cold air feed for it

And welcome to the site mate , got any pics of your 16v ?

Rich

Na got no pics yet, everything is still standard even the renault stereo is still in!

Regarding the 17" wheels is there an offset that i need to have? Because surely they will scrub on full lock or with a person in the back???

well ive got 17s on my valver and i can have 5 people in and they dont scrub , but yes they scrub on full lock a tiny bit , nothing to worry about tho .Sorry im not sure of the offset try doing a search on the forums.
