sky broadband problems

unable to access the interent at home as my sky internet seems to have gone tits up.

on my laptop, the status is showing as connected and excellent signal, but when i try to access the internet it always comes up with "page can not be displayed" etc. - i duuno whats wrong with it, last night i was on line then all of a sudden it crashed and hasnt come back up since

any idea whats wrong, as a last resort im gonna have to ring sky, will they get an engineer out to look at it

log into the router 192.168.1.1 via internet explorer address bar and check the log.

Not played with or set any proxy servers?

Log into your router and on the first page you see (I think) there should be a button at the bottom called Sky Test. Click this and see if it produces an error code for you. If it does, ring Sky. Good luck with that by the way. If the test passes then it is your computer that has a problem.

Im having the same problem. One min the internet is fine...next thing you kno its off!!!

ill try the suggestions on here if not ill have to ring sky, if its a problem with my laptop whats the best action to take.
