i live in a sky connct zone. Means i can get 8mbs but only 40gb bandwidth? if i call them do you think i will be able to get a deal where i have unlimited bandwidth if i pay more?
^^^^ As far as i understand it . You can connect with the sky " connect " now and when the network becomes available you automatically switch over to the broadband " mid " which is £5.00 a month and 40gb , so i wouldsee no reason you can't upgrade this to the " Max " which is £10.00 a month and unlimited .
It's been offered through Easynet's LLU network. Those prices quoted are for customers who live near Easynet LLU enabled exchanges (roughly 220 of them at present). Those customers that don't will be offered "Sky Broadband" over IPStream via BT Wholesale on a totally different pricing structure.

It still looks a decent price though . I've got " not available " also for easynet Does that mean it won't ever be available Griff ? Or maybe it will be in the future ??
I can't say you'll never get it but it costs ISP's a small furtune to unbundle (that's the U in LLU) an exchange so they stick to the largest exchanges to make it economically viable.
DSL (forget the A as that's irelevant) requires twisted copper cable AKA a phone line. In this county we're just used to hearing "requies a BT line" as BT have a monopoly on the phone network.
Certain LLU DSL providers are now unbundling voice aswell as data so BT lines aren't needed in that scenario.
Was really looking forward to getting that for £10 a month as well lol! Nothing is avaliable in my area lol! I read in The Sun 2day tho that they are expanding, does this mean more homes with have access to EasyNet?
Like I said earlier mate it costs a fortune for ISP's to unbundle exchangs and fit their own equipment/DSLAM's so if you live in a large town/city then yes you have a good chance of getting it one day and on the other hand if you live in a village I doubt you'll ever get it.
Im in exactly the same boat as Mr Cake - I'm paying £30 for plusnet each month, with my own domain, Easynet is showing as "Not Available", how very weak!
