sky hd...best price????

what deals are sky doing when push comes to shove for hd? whats everyone paid? i already have sky plus and been with them 10 years but they said £249 when i called them today

I paid £149 but some have been fortunate and paid less while some have got nowhere with Sky and paid the full price.

u do know only sky one,sky movies,sports r the only channels in hd mate

There's actually Sky One HD, Channel 4 HD, BBC HD, Arts HD, Sky Movies HD1, Sky Movies HD2, Sky Sports 1 HD, Sky Sports 2 HD, Discovery HD, National Geographic HD, History HD, Box Office HD and alot of HD content downloaded overnight as part of Anytime.

but i agree not worth getting it just for the hd channels, although the hd reciever does show the other standard channels better than a normal sky+ box

I heard that if you connect HD box with HDMI to HDTV the non HD channels look worse than a Sky+ box hooked up to the same TV with a SCART

Comet were doing £99 for the box, and £30 install at Christmas.. (As long as you took Sky Talk out at the same time.. (altho the basic Sky Talk is free each month))

Sky did do it for £99 recently. I got the + box for £49. Wish I went for the hd box. No hd telly, but the extra space would have been good.
