Sky Signal

hey people had sky installed the other week and the picture is crap and has lines running thu it

have a samsung le40rx lcd and matching home cimema kit

anyone no how i can fix the signal etc its from a comunial dish but the free view digital signal to the telly is a excellent picture

Bad weather causes a bad signal too. You sure its not just the weather?

I would try resetting the box though anyways like the person above suggested. Failing that, wait for some better weather

^ true it could be the weather. It was really s**t last night with all the wind.

go into the services menu, under system setup, there should be a picture settings menu, go in there and change the signal from PAL to RGB, and make sure its connected up properly at the back.

Should look a hell of alot clearer once its been changed. Alot of engineers are too lazy to change that setting

Also have a look to see how its connected up, if the tv is connected via scart, make sure its plugged in the "TV Scart" socket, and not the VCR scart.

Also a better scart lead will help if your using the crap one sky provide if you have sky plus and are using optical out for sound look for an rgb only scart.
