Skype and 3 today announced their new Skypephone.

A bit weird for a mobile company to let VOIP on their network, but hey its happened and times are changing.

How many of you use skype to call people? I myself do use it occasionally to make calls and to message others.

I've had it for ages on my 3 phone. In software. You just log into skype like you do on the pc. I've also got msn messenger on it for texts etc.

I think these new phones just do the same as what has been around for ages on 3, but have a big skype button on them for retards to use.

Makes sense as GSM is Voice over IP anyway has been for years.

Yeah i have had skype on my 3 phone for ages, but you can only call skype contacts.

With this new phone it enables you to call any phone number via skype and do messaging.

Makes the whole point in using your tariff for calls pointless which means you save money. Even if you call international numbers its well cheap!
