Slashed tyres.

So some mouth breather has come to the conclusion that I should be re-shodding the Cup. He has shown his disgust at my ContiSports by puncturing 3 of them with a knife/scissors etc.

Now, whats the best way to proceed? The 3 tyres that have been slashed have fully deflated but fortunately havent gone under the rim (if that makes sense, so the alloys are not directly touching the tarmac), so I've been told by my missus.

Im not at home at the moment to sort it but I presume the thing to do is jack it up and put it on axle stands? (Have 2, can borrow 2 more).

Is there anything else I need to do? Obviously other than buy new tyres.

Gutted to hear that :(

Can be a struggle to get a jack under when the tyres are flat as so much less clearance, so might be worth using a normal jack under the sill to get it high enough before you try a trolley back.

If you put a pair of axle stands under the front, and a jack/stand on the beam that will hold it up on just those 3 points quite happily.

Thanks Chip.

s**t forgot about reduced clearance.... I presume the standard emergency kit jack that comes with the car could get small enough to fit under?

Its a right ballache. Wheels off, new tyres, down to tyre shop etc etc.

Yeah the standard scissor jack will go nice and low, what I would do is lift it on that enough to get a trolley jack under the side with two flats on first, and then put it under the other side and just lift it a bit before you jack on the trolley back enough to get a stand in as you dont want the car tipping too far on a flat tyre and risking damaging the outer edge of the rim.

Sorry to hear this

Why not pay a little more and get a mobile tyre fitters van to come to your house and change your tyres?? I know Kwik fit do that service if that's any help to you

Yeah might do mate. Not sure if they would fit part worn (6mm) though. A lot of those guys wont. The tyre place is about 200 yards from my car so its not too bad.

Just thinking about getting it off the floor for now haha.
