Slight delay in revs

Never gave it a thought until now because the car runs perfectly apart from odd squeeks there and here from time to time. But when I let a friend of mine to have a sit behind the wheel and he had a play with the accelerator he said that it feels like the gas is delayed.. kinda by 1/1.5 sec. Comparing it to lotus now it does feel reaction to gas slightly behind.

Is that just us and its the way it is?

Or is it perhaps a sign of something to look out for in future?

Or is it something simple?


And one more thing, how loose does gearstick feel normally? From left to right? And does everyone from time to time has trouble getting it in gear if accelerating hard?

Just read about someone having worse problems and someone else suggest cleaning the throttle body? Will try that.
