Slight whine from new clutch at 3k?

Hey guys.

2nd clutch in 2 weeks installed a few days ago as the first one was dud and started playing up after a few days.

Now when i'm driving and go up to and past 3k when accelerating it makes a quite high pitched whine.

I understand the clutch is going to take a few hundred miles to bed in but is this normal?

These guys are going to have had my car more than bloody me this month!

I should mention i have a split intercooler pipe but thats not going to be causing the sound, surely?

Yes a split cooler pipe can make a whistling/whiny noise.

Thanks Martin, i will take a look tonight.

Worst thing is i'm bloody giving it to my sister in law in a few months as i make way for a ph1 172. I get the impression shes going to be getting the better end of the deal with all these bits being thrown up and fixed beforehand.
