Slim PS2 IN CAR

Does anyone have one of these fitted? I bought one yesterday and plan on doing an install when I get the 182. I need a power cable but cannot find one anywhere it is different from the original PS2.

Anyone know where I can find one?

i bought a power inverter from a car audio place in southend mate cost a mear 125 quid but it was really small and already had the ps2 connection built on it i wired it to the fag lighter so then u could have the ps2 and still use the lighter

have to be careful thou surely with the slim ps2 cause of the way it opens? so its gonna take up more space there, although i guess it depends where u plan on putting it, id rather go for a normal ps2 that slides out so you could tuck it away somewhere. only my opinion thou

Thanks for the construtive posts peeps, and thanks to the non constructive spamers at least it was a free bump.

Ill probably put it in the back and run extensions for the control pads but not entirly sure yet. I have a normal PS2 also so could be flexible as to which goes in the car as lon as it cant been seen.

No luck on caraudiosecurity.com cheers though.

Halfords sell a good quality inverter for 35quid...its not particlarly slimline but could easily be hidden behind a trim panel or underneath a seat.

it wasnt spam mate, i was just sat here thinking why on earth would I want my ps2 in my car? im sure you have your reasons!

Ive got one, used to run a big PS2 now then i bought a small one. fits perfectly in the glove box. I hard wired mine in cable from the battery to the power inverter (£35 Ring one from halfords 150w) then to the playstation, through its little transformer.

i got my invertor from maplins. invertor wired to cig lighter at the back of and the screen is wired to the pos and neg of my head unit. the normal ps2 fits brilliant under drivers seat and doesnt jump etc.

Was it pretty easy to wire up? 2 wires straight to the ciggy lighter?? Under the paseger seat is what i was thinking, will experiment to see which fits better.

I bought a card of them for my PS2 that makes it run off 12v, cheaper than an invertor and takes up no room at all. Makes wiring the playstiaion in real easy.
