Slow elec window - can u just grease....

Got the trade mark slow passenger window. Can you just grease the motor and runners to sort it or do i need a new window motor?

I would just get a new one. After removing the trim etc, you might as well get and fit the new motor.

Had simmilar problem on my old 205 GTI,

I would go with bad on this one.. if your gonna strip it down just replace the motor and arm linkage while your at it.. chances are the motor is clapped out, deffinatly grease the linkage while you have it all out of the door though.

Try and source one from a scrappies or something cause they will probably be around 100 notes for a new one.
