Slow passenger electric window mk1

Anyone know what causes this so i can fix it cause its annoying. I have to use it everyday to speak to the guard at work from the warmth of the car and it takes forever to come down!!

remove door card and lubricate the cable tube.

I've got the same problem never managed to solve it, had 3 different motors and 2 different doors tried lubing it but tht didnt do anything Must be something to do with wiring?

nope...its the cable inside the metal tube.

Hmm I got a new motor and it was still really slow? I lubed up the tube on the last motor with normal grease and it didn't seem to make any difference?

the one attached to the motor...its pretty obvious.

clean it with brake cleaner, and lubricate with wd40

if your using grease, you wont be able to get it along the length of the cable...hence it not working.

I dosed it in wd40 as well How did you do it, did it speed it up much?

I had the same problem with mine, just bought a new window regulator ~£68 and that sorted the problem.

Mine is slow going up... would this just be a case of oiling up too?

lol..common problem.......wait til the summer to sort it..don't need them in the winter anyway
