Sluggish 1.2

Hi,

Had my 1.2 Dynamique for a few weeks now and it's started to irritate me abit. It seems really sluggish in 2nd and 3rd gear. Is it just how the 1.2's are because my throttle response is crap too. In the higher gears I can put my foot right down and it will take the engine a few seconds to realise that the throttle is down to the floor.
Is there anything I can clean out in the engine or something to make it that bit nippier?

on the 2.0l you can clean the throttle body out a little with some cleaner not sure what its called, maybe spirit wipe? not sure that may help but you will have to just realise the 1.2 is slow and will always be slow

I know that a 1.2 never be as fast as a 2.0 but it should be nippy which mine doesn't seem to be at the moment.

hmm well like i say maybe it might be a clogged up throttle body, maybe it just needs a service? fresh oil, new filter, air filter etc

A service will do you huge favours, if that doesn't solve it then i would start looking at other options.
