Smaller number plate road legal?

Hi there, I'm wanting to put a smaller number plate on the front of my car so it stays in line with the bumper, as at the moment half of it drops beneath it.

However I'm not sure if it is road legal to do and i also can't find anywhere on the net which will do smaller number plates.

any help people?

i got my 3/4 height one from fancyplates i think? google it!

not legal but the 3/4 height ones are a lot more subtle than the complete 3/4 size ones.
