Smashed fog light

Only had the car a week, and one of the front fog lights has been smashed driving on the motorway, I assume by a stone. Are these lights prone to getting smashed, or have I been unlucky ?

Any idea how much to replace ? Can you buy/do the job yourself ?

Renault charge about £100 each for a new fog

Its a 15min job to change it. I had one get smashed on my old clio, but touch wood it hasn't happened to my 182

Or alternatively, you could just take the other one out too, mesh them, and add a better cold air feed to engine

Yes there know for getting broke. try second hand if you can.
