Smelling of gearbox oil

Having recently replaced my gearbox oil I've noticed the inside of my car smells of the foul stuff when stopping after a decent journey. I do have the usual Renault leak from somewhere and when replaced a fair but less than the 3ltrs came out than went back in.

Could the fact I'm missing the little cover on the oil breather hose be splashing it out? Cant really se evidence of this though

Did you fill it up until it came out of the fill hole?

Could just be where its run down the block.

Itll be the selector seal giving a whiff. As long as not pissing out oil it will be sound, standard jb/jc leak

It is leaving spots on the drive with the sump guard off

Id say 99% of them leave a drop of oil without a sump guard on. Box out and strip down to repair sadly

Regular top ups it is then!
