smoke!

to cut a long story short,
when i floor it hard throught the gears, there seems to be a lot of smoke coming out the exhaust. is this normal?
and when i break (when im just doing normal speeds) sometimes i notice a little puff of smoke aswell??

car is warm when it does this and has a straight through exhaust with de-cat, runs good and no warning lights.

any ideas?

just to add; its not black/dark
its more light coloured smoke?
i hand a problem with my inlet, there was what looked like a little oil that had gathered at the top part where there is a rubber seal that inserts under it and meets with this 'thing' that sticks up out the top of the engine block (under where the coil pck sits). not sure the technical terms lol!

Blue - Oil

White - Moisture/Coolant

Black - Fuel

99.9999999% won't be head gasket.

Get a leak down test carried out possibly. Will show if valve seats are not sealing, blowby etc, and also by how much.

This, ive spoken to a few specialists before about the head gaskets on the sport series an unless your really unlucky genrally theres not much chance of one going

f4r are prone to stem seals going which is normally blue smoke on the overrun. If it's only a little I wouldn't worry too much unless your going through oil like petrol

al keep an eye on it. not too sure the colour. its not thick. dont think the car burns any oil at all. do you think it could be anything to do with the inlet thing?

We do an additive that'll help with smoking due to poor ring or stem sealing.

It's cheap and works!

A vehicle travelling with no throttle and the engine acting as a brake is said to be on the overrun or overrunning.

Basically any time you lift off throttle but the car is still going like downhill for example.

well in that case, the smoke only comes out when ive got my foot to the floor. when i lift it off there is no smoke. as i said there is not loads but enough to see it.
going to keep an eye on my oil level to see if it drops again
