Smoking in car??

Just curious really...

How many people smoke in their cars on here??

I always used to smoke in my Corsa i had before and let everyone else smoke in it...however right from the start with the Clio its strictly been a No Smoking Zone

Also im quite touchy about people (girls) getting in with metal bits on their bags an sliding it down the dash to put on the floor....really grinds my gears lol

My ex done this once, then when she leaned forward to get something out it BOOM the brakes went on. Nice big lump on her forehead. LOL

Strangely similar to the OP - I used to smoke in my Corsa but don't in the Clio. Don't let anyone else either.

Mainly cos I plan to sell the Clio. I always planned to run the Corsa into the ground.

Same here. I used to smoke in my Clio 1.2... don't in my 182. I get rage when people try and eat in my car.

I do smoke and let other people but im the same with people getting in and out of the car, i am a bit ocd with it because i switch when people touch the cars paintwork or fling the seatbelt around when getting out. I hate people in the back.

I never let people smoke in either of my Clio's, I let them smoke in my Mazda 323 because that was a £600 shed. Nobody will be smoking in my MX5 so my no smoking policy will resume.

I would never buy a car from a smoker. If you're willing to smoke in it, which is bad enough, i'd question in what other ways the owner has neglected their car.

what i dont get is that IMO smoking is just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than holding a mobile phone to your ear! if using a phone whilst driving is illegal then so should smoking be. Not to mention that if you dropped the fag on something it poses a fire hazard lol. crazy world.

No smoking in my Clio or my VX220. I smoke and so do many of my friends, but when driving it is distracting and such a small enclosed space even with the windows all the way down. I won't let anyone smoke in my cars purely from a safety aspect. Same goes for eating whilst driving. Passengers are allowed

I've smoked in every car I've owned.

Never had a burn or anything in 6 years and my interior is immaculately clean with no litter etc.

It's never been an issue when selling a car though. I've never had anyone even ask me if the cars been smoked in prior to viewing.

It's not as dangerous as a mobile phone! Talking on a phone uses brain power. Smoking is just a reflex to me!

The back seats are covered in fag ash, theres sesame seeds from maccies burgers on the floor and theres a man spaff stain on the drivers seat.

My mates let people smoke in their cars, but I don't let anyone near my car with a ciggy, bit irritated with people eating but not to fussed,to be fair i dont want my car smelling like an ash tray when i want to sell it.

Smoked in all my cars till I got the 182 and also lost my sense of smell. So half for being OCD about the new motor, and half safety cause I can't smell if the car's on fire

Only it's not, really, is it? I can't remember the last time I sat in my lung for a couple of hours. Or my mum in the passenger lung complaining about the smell.

That's why I don't smoke in my house. I'm addicted to nicotine, and I enjoy the odd cigarette, but I don't want my house to smell like an ashtray.

How does that work?!?

I smoke but I choose not to smoke in the car because others are very particular about cars having been smoked in. Thus, potentially, it adversely affects the resale value. It has nothing to do with health or the relative importance of car versus health. It's purely financial.
