Smooth Hammerite

Just been doing the under car seals with goodol hammerite before the winter gets here.

Anyways, ive noticed the inner lip of all four arches are starting to develop the slightest hints of rust. I havent got loads to spend, so i was thinking of getting some silver smooth hammerite (my cars metallic silver), rubbing down the lip, then masking it all up and painting the lip with the smooth hammerite.

I dont think it will be too bad, if at all noticeable? I just dont want the rust to spread anymore, but i dont wanna spend hundreds on a 11 year old car.

Im just after some opinions, alternatives of people who have tried something similar?

Thanks

Dazz

you can get some Hammerite Kurust treatment for a few quid from Motor World / Halfords........might be worth using before you paint it
