snakeoil, or makes sense?

  Land Rover
My Ferrari had a fluid damped flywheel and it was made in 1990 so the technology has been around for a while.

I wish l could afford one at the prices they are now!!
Back then prices started at under £10,000
Mine cost £18,000....about the same as middle of the range new Mondeo at the time.

so the thing works....
is it better than the OEM pully?
I'm thinking that because of the fluid the damping is dynamic with concerns to the crank, and also degradation of the rubber will not occur so no change in damping capabilities.
if there are any engineering types about, am I missing something?

On a Clio I wouldn't bother, I doubt it's something you'd notice.

The engines rev fairly freely anyway, their main issue is they struggle with proper high revs, being undersquare it's naturally gunna happen.

been reading up on this (not just the PR blurb) and i lie the thinking behind this.
The Original pully being tuned for the 'worst' rev range, while this thing can adjust to every revrange.

Anybody have an engine in bits that can measure the following?

- diameter of pully
- crankshaft mounting dimensions/picture

I mailed them and it might be possible to modify one.
Or alternatively, send them a Pully and they will price it up (min 100 pc)
