ouch what did you hit? prob need whole rear quarter spraying so £200-300 at a guess?

havent you done loads of snow related crashing threads today?

maybe slow down? keep car at home?

i only say it as by all accounts your next thread could be even more worrying, for you and for people to read

dent can be knocked out, rear quarter needs flatting and respraying

Your wheel, now this?!

I think you should've stayed inside. ;)

Thanks for the helpful comments guys, is there any way that the cracked paint can be touched up/blended in without the need for a full respray?

For anyone wondering how it happened...

Ended up hitting that bollard, thats what made the dent. I think the tyres bounced the car back off the kurb, where it then got stuck in this position for about 10 mins until me and someone from work could eventually push it out...

Notice the luck in bollard placement... its like i aimed for it!

Paradas are fine in this weather, no tyre will be better or worse in this weather unless its a spiked tyre or got snow chains on! I'm running paradas which are a lot better than my "hero" (no kidding, thats the name) tyres on the N/A 172 so i've been using the S/C one!

Slow down if you keep crashing!

Parada's ain't so good as soon as theres a sniff of water on the ground, if you think of the tread patern on them it's no wonder the water can't escape from the tyre as easy as say a proxes IMO

As aluco says, drift round obsticles with the handbrake, steer from the rear :p

So your using paradas because they are better in snow but no tyre is better or worse in snow?

What i was going to post. It has NOTHING to do with the tyres.

Paradas have tread on them.

Its to do with how you drive, and how fast. Losing patience today with the amount of accidents ive seen because people cant get it into their heads that you dont put it in first gear and rev because its snowing.

Ive had no problem driving at all, and ive been up and down hills covered in compacted snow/ fresh snow/ sheet ice.

Sorry dude, but... LOL AT THE PIC OF THE ACCIDENT!!!!!

Its not even on a bend! Its a straight bit of road!

Its the paradas, i tell ye, they're posessed by the devil.

I dont get why it got stuck for ten minutes and then you had to push it out either :S conditions dont look that bad and its chewed up snow on a street.
