Flol, i'm still laughing at the yokos getting the blame.

£70-£90

Panel beater and painter should be able to do it

FLOL! Is that including Labour, and Paint Materials or is that the price of someone using a club hammer and a tin of Dulux?

Thats a big dent but it'll beat out. You'll then be blending the door for a decent colour match and prob the sill capping, plus a quarter panel moulding. For a decent repair i.e a reputable bodyshop who won't fill it with filler you will prob be looking at a good £600-£700 in just paint materials and labour.
Yes you can get cheaper but they are the kind of bodyshops that won't take the quarter glass out, and as i say, will fill it and spray it.

Sorry dude, but... LOL AT THE PIC OF THE ACCIDENT!!!!!

Its not even on a bend! Its a straight bit of road!

Its the paradas, i tell ye, they're posessed by the devil.

I dont get why it got stuck for ten minutes and then you had to push it out either :S conditions dont look that bad and its chewed up snow on a street.

ha ha ha fpmsl

Work for a bodyshop in Weybridge called Panel-Wise. Basically do estimates, run the office etc.
We are Aston Martin Cat A approved as well as Lotus and Honda so its pretty much nice stuff!

Although at the moment all i seem to see are Jazz's and Civic's!

Ha sounds like myself! I've done more audatex suspension estimates in the last day than I have in the last year!

Really can't be bothered this week!

We don't use Audatex or Glassmatics (hence why we tend to clash with engineers over the cost of work!).
Feel your lack of enthusiasm mate...all these Honda suspension parts are doing my head in, although we do have an Aston Martin Virage of some sort being recovered here after its driver wiped out 4 cars with it.
Should keep me busy!

Lols, you're right to be big headed.

I not long ago turned down and offer to work at a mercedes bodyshop, also now the only ferrari approved one in scotland.

I'll look again in march, i'm more confident in my ability than I was then.

Also have my ata accreditation in march! Yes i'm awesome!

Good stuff! :D

I was rescued by the guys who own Panel-Wise after i was made redundant by the Lotus dealership i worked at.
No previous estimating experience so i've kinda just been chucked in the deep end and taught to swim....my dad used to be an engineer for Direct Line and a divisonal manager before he died so feels quite cool doing what he used to do.

Still yet to get my hands on a V8 Vantage or a DB9 though.....

Is it just the angles of the pic or does the wheel look a bit odd? could just be camera position!

I saw an old woman tootling across a zebra crossing so i put my foot down expecting her to do the same but she didn't and I ploughed straight into her, I tried to e brake drift round her but just went straight over her and hit a bollard. blood, guts, colostomy bag contents everywhere, but its not my fault she was in my way, like she'd been purposely put there or something. Poor thing, Talk about bad luck i've got s**t all over the front of my car now anyone know any good car washes for this sort of thing? Need to get it sorted before the police come knocking.

Hmm....ofcourse it'll end up costing a fortune any where you go. But its only a clio, i doubt you guys would actually pay a few hundred to get a dent knocked out. Try looking for people who do this kind of stuff in their spare time in a unit, at the end of the day guys, it is a clio lol

Doesn't matter what car it is mate, if you take a bit of pride in your car you would want it done properly.

It'll still be done properly. Like i said, similar dent on the bonnet of mums DCi, and was repaired for £60 including everything. Was done by a professional panel beater in his garage which has been converted into a spray booth.

Lols, I would love to see that job, also the labour is a bit different from bonnet to qaurter panel mate.

To you it looks good no doubt, but to someone like Gally or Ollie it WILL look s**t for £60.

All depends on how bothered you are really, no doubt your mum was over the moon.

I've asked a lot of people in person to see if they can tell where it was etc. Looks just as it did from new TBH. Fair enough if the panels are a little different, but i wouldn't pay £200+ to get that repaired. Each to their own i suppose

Precisely. As Gally says, the work to do a dent in a bonnet is considerably less than to strip down a quarter panel and door, beat out the dent, prep, prime and paint the quarter and blend the door.

As Craigus says, if you have pride in your car, and a good eye for these things, you'll want it done properly.

A quick fix for £60 is fine if she's happy with it mate.

This doesnt apply to 95% of the nice people in this thread...

FFS, i'm fed up of all the c**ts on this forum! I wasnt asking for any sympathy, but I certainly didnt expect this many jokes/criticisms of my apparent driving. I didn't say Parada's were s**t tyres and the sole reason I hit a f**king pole. But after driving 3 other cars in the last few days I know they were a contributing factor. I'm not trying to justify the fact that yes; I had an accident - but accidents happen.

The council hadnt gritted any roads. It took over 2 hours to go through what is normally a 10 minute journey. Along the way there were at least 10 cars who had hit thing/each other and about 2x that were stuck spinning in the snow. I wish the 1 or 2 ken-block heros in this thread had to make that journey.

Yes - It was a straight road. But have a look at the first picture and you can see swiggly tyre marks on the road from other cars.

As for '2 bumps in 2 days' yes. So what? I kerbed a f**king wheel and then hit a bollard. Both happened at very slow speeds and yes were probably my fault for not bieng as amazing a driver as the rest of CS's heros.

Anyway - I'm over the bump. Its only metal and money. There are bigger things in life :)
Thanks to everyone who had kind and useful things to say, I'll try and get some quotes in the new year

You're still blaming the tyres.

You could always leave it. Could be the start of that s**tty rat look for your clio.

Why are these tyres so s**t? Loads of people have them. Are they track hero wannabees?

  ?
The tyres are very good in the dry, but there tread pattern makes them not so good in the wet, or slushy snow etc.
