snowfoaming process?

So I've just got a snow lance. Whats the best process for doing it? Is it best to wet the car first then snow it, or snow it with the car dry?

First time with the lance today. Definately great fun!! Rents were not amused with the foam driveway/ garden.!! lol

As for does it clean?? yes and no. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest. It doesn't get it really clean (didn't really expect it to), but it does get the worst of the winter crap off and will be ideal for a quick half hour wash on a winter weekend.

Next time, I'll probably do the wheels first with a bucket/ brush/ wheel cleaner then the sills with tar remover, then foam and rinse.

Overall, think they're expensive for what they are (I went with the ebay one 2x5L foam, lance for £58), but as its a one off purchase that should even out. I'd still say its definately worth getting one, especially if you're not a clean freak/ detailing freak as it does make things easier for the lazy among us (me!)
