The Clio 4RS that is? I know its a bit premature etc but we all know what to expect! So who are all looking to venture into Clio RS Mk4 territory?

Personally this could not have been better news for me, the missus is due on the 6th of March and ill need a five door with a boot, in all honesty i can see me buying one.

I've looked at absolutley everything A3 Sportback/Cupra K1/Golf GTi etc you get the picture but something tells me i wont be happy unless its another Clio! She thinks im mental but i adore them

So who will be looking to get one?

I'm considering one as my next car but im gonna hang on it for a bit, once I start seeing them on the road I can decide if I like them easier

I'mm 99% sure i'll get one. As long as they do a good pcp deal and I don't have to have it in a stupid colour, i'm in.

Will be 5 star Ncap for the family, easily tuneable, will no doubt handle well, and should be better on fuel than the 200. Its win win.

As a youngster, I fortunately don't have to worry about most of those things... Woo.

I won't be getting one as im only young and still really enjoying my 182.

The latest pictures do look great though and I'll certainly be going for a test drive!

^ No yellows, bright blue's, orange or anything stupid. Silver or grey will do me.

Might be going back to VAG.

I'm in the same boat as Danny tbh.

I've been to vag, BMW, Jap etc etc and all of them build better cars no doubt, but none of them drive like a clio and that's what's important to me; How it drives.

If you want a derv, then a vag 1.9tdi is top of the list. If you want a sports coupe, a 330i is top of the list. If you want mental boost, then jap is top of the list.

However, if you want a hot hatch, then imo, Renault make the best ones. Certainly in the last 12 or so years anyway.

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
I won't, but I'll be eagerly awaiting 197 prices crashing through the floor like a stone, then I'll get one of those

Definatley! Diesel repair costs scare the s**t out of me, especially ones that are just out of warranty. I just dont do the miles to warrant buying one.

I dont think ill ever want a diesel, the way i see it is - i'd rather the extra outlay per month and smile ear to ear than have to buy a humdrum Audi because thats the done family thing. f**k that.

r27 > shoddy 5 door s**t attempt at clio

in all seriousness though. i wont be getting one as ive just bought my 197... ill definitely be test driving one though :approve:

That's such an accurate post that my face hurts.

I was going to ridicule the above point but he actually has a point.

Lot of car/kit for the cash only missing the bit of driver involvement.

If you like looking at stuff, buy some Art.

If you want to go driving, buy a better car than an S3.
Depends what you class "driving" as.

I want an S3 because it's great for long distance motorway driving, Plenty of torque / power and very plush inside all which the clio's lack. I would have the new clio if i wanted a weekend toy not if i wanted to do 30k + a year.

It all falls down to what you want out of a car.

Are we talking 8L or 8P S3? Because lets face it, thats going to get expensive in either.
8p

Iv'e spent more on my 172 in the last 6 months than i have on my A3 2.0 tdi in a year.

The clio has done 20 miles in that time where as the audi over 20k.

If I can afford it, yes.

Don't know when though, possibly when they have been out a couple of years.

Buy a better 172 then!

That's hardly a fair comparison. You could have bought a pup audi and a good 172 and would your opinion be the same?

Take my posts with a pinch of salt mate, I'm just anti-audi. Apart from the old shape 225/V6 tt.

I just find them so so dull its untrue.
Iv'e not found mine that dull! , Ok it's not the most exiting car but it ticks the boxes. Close second is a 120 / 123d but i just prefer the interior and exterior of the S3.

nope, think the 5 door is just stupid!!! why not give an option of a 3 door?! i think its because now when most guys hit there mid 20's they have 3 kids and a council flat grrrr

Yes because a 19k hot-hatch is what a mid 20 year old living in a council flat is exactly the target audience that Renault wish to appeal to.

Did you even think about what you just typed?
