solenoid

when i start up first thing, i turn the key and the motor doesnt spin like its got a flat battery, after 3-4 goes it spins normally, is that a f**ked solenoid? if so how much work is it to swap over?

On the 1.2 Energy engines (which surely arent too dis-similar to the 1.4 Energy?), the solenoid is a fairly well known problem. When this happened to my old Mk1 1.2, I was told by Renault just to give it a bash. Gave another 30k of faithful service, until sold the car.
