solid top mounts

where can i buy solid top mounts for the 182, i know ktec do them but have heard bad things about tem. im looking at getting as my car is knocking on full lock after having apex springs fitted. any help would be great!

Yes we guarantee our parts for 12 months and if the knocking is being caused by excessive suspension top mount movement it should cure it.

Another common cause of the knocking is excessive engine movement and this can be cured using our uprated engine mounts.

The only negative aspect of these mounts is the vibration that can occur if they are not fitted properly. If the engine is positioned properly they rarely feel any different to the standard mounts. Engine movement is also 1-5mm at best - whereas standard mounts can be up to 25mm!! Well worth the £age.

Go for AST top mounts, no drilling, no corrosion, no problems.

Yes more than likely. I had a slight knocking feeling when turning left harshly but since ive fitted the top mounts, all is sorted.

Handling will be much imporved. Ive found it way better with these on with the KTEC coilies over just the coilovers themselves. Then again i had a whiteline arb fitted at the same time but turn in is better and stiffer and it makes me feel more confident in the corners now.

I have thought about maybe changing the engine and gearbox mounts along with the ball joints aswell.... hoping this will make a difference....then go for the mounts?

Imo they make a definite improvement, bowever they do put a lot more strain on other parts such as the ball joints and bushes. I plan to replace the ball joints as they are quite old now with 90K on the clock and get uprated bushes.
