Solkolene Pro R 15W50 ????

Anyone know if this will be good for my RS172?
Drive fast on road and she goes tracking.
S'lene right up says fast road/track, so seems ok, just wiondering about the 15w50 side of things........

Most people go for 5w 40 as it gives better protection on startup . I'm no oil expert but 15w might be a bit too thick and its not recommended in the service book .

Personally i'd stick with whats recommended i.e. 5w 30 or 5w 40 .

15w50 is what the clio cup racer use so it up to you I have 6 litres from a cup team to put in mine.

There are no advantages to be had though in a stock car, why do you want to put that grade in?

15W 50 is probably fine for the cup racers , do they race em when its snowy /icy .For normal everday use , especially in winter 5w would be better . Like GavFre says , what advantage does it have over the 5w ?
