Just wondering, if only the power light comes on an amp does this mean it is connected up correctly?
Also is 10G wiring suitable for a 500W amp with a 500W (RMS) sub?
Yeah, well depends how many lights are on it i guess. But to have it connected properly you should have the live from battery to amp, remote wire from the back of the head unit to the amp and also a ground point going to the amp and the RCA cable going to the head unit.
Its 500W max and its 4ohms when in bridged mode. At the moment I am only holding the battery cable in place and and I'm getting a bit of bass from the sub but its quite quiet, do you think it should be fine if I screw the cable down?
