Update! Spoke to cops agaim yesterday and they confirmed it was actually a scenic that hit me! Maybe lucky didnt smash the espace in! Left work early yesterday to try find the scenic since police keep missing driver. Found it on opposite side of hill at railway station. Damage to rear bumper. I put a note on saying my car had been hit and police looking to speak to driver as it was caught on cctv. No call last pm. On way to work got a call from owner of scenic admitting he had hit my car but hadnt thought it was damaged so drove away. He sounded in a panic when i said it was on cctv and police looking to speak to him. He is a teacher, he was on way to work when talking to him so he agreed that i could check his insurers details via motor insurer database. Texted him the details and awaiting a call from norwich union. He is obviously panicing that he has been caught on cctv! Wonder what my hire car will be!

Thats b****cks mate, still could have been worse, my brothers ST got the same treatment from a priick in a white van, again caught on CCTV.

His car got fixed, the other driver got 3 points and a £150 fone for leaving the scene of an accident, fuckiing tosser.

I recommend doing the insurance bit via europa consultants (google em). That way, as its third party and done solely throught the other parties insurance, it will not affect your insurance. Also, they give you a hire car similar to your own (ie a sports car) whilst the repairs take place. On VX220.org, where parking dings mean £1000's because of the grp, europa consultants are used all the time, with thumbs up on every occasion. You won't have to do any chasing, they will sort everything out for you, and its all paid for by the other party's insurance. He will think again about not leaving a note next time when he sees how much it costs to hire a Golf GTi MkV for a month!

unlucky about the car mate but a result about catchin the bloke, you can get it repaired properly and it'll be good as new. If the doors creased it would probably be a new doorskin anyway so it wont be cheap.

call today from norwich union with full admission of liability, car goes in next monday to get job priced up, car is driveable so will get courtesy car when its in
