Cheers guys, the only annoying thing with the exhaust is that it managed to burn a small hole in the bumper when it was first settling!

Doubt anything will be happening before Xmas yet, but initial plans are Phase 2 rear lights (shock!), silvervisions for the indicators, clear side repeaters and colour coded strips and handles (or maybe some phase 2 strips). Just to clean up the overall appearance.

In time I may fit some coilovers and lower the whole stance, but I'm in no rush as I think the standard set up is good enough for what I want.

Is that a powerflow exhaust mate? How much did it cost you for that cause i'd love something similar for my MK2 172, also liking the dual foglamp intakes. PM me the zorst price if you don't wanna divulge.

Thumbs up mate.

Lol, my avatar is a bit of a long story, but it basically says "acrebo... the mighty gecko"... and a picture of a gecko. *tumbleweed rolls by*

I've not done anything to the car, so I bought it as you see it. I have the original bumper and exhaust so in time I may decide to go completely standard, we'll see.

The exhaust has been custom made, but I don't know by which company I'm afraid mate, sorry! I think it was a friend of the previous owner that made it as I can't see any markings or anything and it's quite an intricate piece of work.

The wheels do admittedly need more work, it was just a quick wash yesterday really, as the weather wouldn't hold off long enough for me to get all my wax, clay, polish, etc out!

And Clarkie, I'd hope you recognise it! I'm sure you'll be seeing some more of it in the coming years as well! :)

looks real nice......although i think the mark1 172 should be left standard

my thoughts exactly but i suppose its different, need some clear side repeaters though. not keen on the fog light pods with the cold air feeds in them

Seems to be a pretty nice divide between liking and disliking the 182 bumper, which I cna live with. As I said, I didn't fit it myself, but I do like the fact that it's something 'different' but effective in a world of cloned 172's.

Personally, I love the red air feeds though!

Some clear repeaters and silvervisions will be fitted soon. Anywhere know where I can get each?

What have you got sitting at the back of the cold air feed ends in the fogs ?? Have you just sat the trumpets in or are they meshed off etc ??

I dont think the 182 bumper goes with the wheels too well. You need to fill the arches out more to pull off the hybrid look. If ur staying on the standard wheels I'd put the standard bumper back personally.

Just the red anodised (sp?) 'trumpet' (if that's what you mean by the trumpet.... not sure if you're referring to anything else) mate, with the air feed to the induction kit mate, no mesh or anything.

The driver's side is just a dummy one with a bit of pipe leading to nothing (I think!), whereas the passenger one obviously leads into the Viper...

I'll try and get a photo of it mate, it's all where the standard exhaust comes through on the right hand side, and then the pipe breaks into two to form the two rear pipes. It's quite a cool design so is easier if I show you... will try to get some of it on the weekend.

Cheers....that exactly the same as what ive done. Bit a fake tubing on the drivers side and the other to the Viper

Yeah, the guy fitted the IK before me, so I haven't changed anything, but it does look a bit odd with just one air feed I think.

As for the 182 bumper, it's exactly as I bought it and, whilst I am planning to change the wheels in due course, I'm not going to start swapping and changing bumper and exhausts just for the sake of a few months! Not really attempting to pull off any kind of hybrid look, just what the guy before me did and I kinda like it. :)

looks nice... but everyone knows my thoughts on fitting the PhSlow rear bumper to PhQuick 172s: they just dont match the curves of the car :)

Ooh, lots of replies since I last looked!

The jury's still out on the 182 bumper, I love the look of it in itself, but it admittedly needs bigger wheels and a drop to fully pull off. The lines don't match up perfectly but I think it's pretty close. Indicators will be an obvious addition in due course.

As for the intakes, I didn't do it myself so wouldn't want to say how it's done, but plenty of guys on here can help. I'll try to get some photos of the engine bay on Thursday when she's due a clean.

Thanks for all the comments though guys, good and bad, I haven't paid her much attention since the winter closed in and I've just moved, but I'll put a few ideas into action soon hopefully. Will see you all at FCS and at least you'll know it's my car!
