Sigma 50mm 1.4 could be a massive hit if it's priced right. If I was in the market for a D40/60 I would hunt down a body only and get this bundled with it instead.

I recon it'll come in at 250 or a little less to begin with.

I'm now interested in how well the zooms will be, presuming there better than the Bigma how close will they get to primes like the 300 f4 IS, 400 f/5.6 or the 100-400 IS zoom.

I didnt like my sigma 18-200 after using it for a day... but the 50mm with hsm... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It is addictive though. I have just found a second hand 30mm f1.4 for a bargain price, with 10 months guarantee still on it...... I was planning on sitting this month out but this is too good to miss!

Second hand is the new devil! I've built up a nice little range of links to second-hand stock, and even though I may not consider something at full price, when it's £100-£500 cheaper it looks quite justifiable all of a sudden!

I guess it's the sense of thinking that if you don't get it now, that's your opportunity gone.

Just picked up the 30 f1.4. Saved myself 150 Euros by buying a 3 month old/ never used second lens! *goes off to find more bargains*

Have not had a fast lens since my old 50mm 1.8 on my old Minolta film SLR and completely forgot how nice it is to get fast shutter speeds without needing a flash! This mini DOF is going to be fun too...

....or not. My camera is dead! Just getting an error message whenever I turn the thing on, regardless of whether it has a lens on or off or memory card or not.

After some googling it turns out that the 40D has done this to quite a few people so Canon will be getting mine back.

I hope I get my money back as prices have dropped another 70 Euros too!
