Some mechanical help

Basically what the problem is, when I press in the clutch to change gear it makes a loud grinding noise, then once in gear it goes away (untill you have covered about 20 miles) then it's intermittent. Basically when coming to a stop aswell when coasting to a junction it males a very loud grinding noise untill I stop. Pretty sure it's not brakes as it's only on when pressing the clutch. Anybody any idea ? Really need to get it sorted, doesn't affect the clutch and isn't slipping etc.

gearbox? or release bearing?

yeah, sounds something to do with release bearing i would think the box needs to come out

ive no idea just hoping its not going to cost to much is it ? big job ?

a local garage should be able to help you out, i qould think £250+

if it's just the bearing then it won't be too bad. Gearbox could be a whole different story.

hope its not expensive or im going to need to sell some things off, brokestatus is horrible
