Some old cleaning stuff, what do I use?

  Suzuki SV650
I dug out the old box of 'car acc. crap' today and discovered I do actually have some half decent stuff to clean the car with, I've not detailed my car for almost 2 years and I want to give it a decent going over before FCS (thats if the weather will let me)... I'm just not sure what to use and in what order, can someone give me a quick list of what I should do? I do have a good wash mitt and some decent microfibre clothes thou...

Before you ask I don't have a p.c. thingy I'm not sure why I have a load of megs speed glaze.

Also I have a couple of clay bars but no quick detailer, am I correct in saying that you can just make some of this stuff up with wax and water? What ratio?

I don't want to turn up on Sunday at FCS with the only dirty 172!

Stevo.

bugger, have realised that the camera on my phone is balls and you can't really see what I have... Um, clockwise from top left; megs speed glaze 80, zymol auto wash, turtle wax original (urgh!), turtle wax gloss guard, autoglym extra gloss protection and super resin polish, triplewax (sorry!) and megs deep crystal carnuba wax..

For the QD a couple of capfuls of car shampoo in a 500ml spray bottle works fine. Wet the panel with some shampoo and water too.

Then using what you have I would use the SRP, EGP and maybe top that with the Megs stage 3 Carnuba.

Hmmm.... shampoo in a spray bottle - never thought of that one.

Rich - you should be given your own plinth in Trafalgar Square in appreciation of your detailing genius.
