Got there relatively early - about 8.30 and there were already quite a few people knocking about.
Chatsworth never fails to impress me. The one house I would own if I had Bill Gates's money - lol
Plenty of car clubs were there - from Capris, Scoobies and Lancias, through to Talbots. Some heavily modded ones too..
One or two Focus RS's as well...
Nice Vee... :approve:
Sounded a bit different - especially when the bloke blatted it a few times. Like the badge on the front grille.
I love Evos, but I'm not sure if £32k is worth it for this high-rise Evo X...
However, the Evo eye-candy got better...
And better....
Until finally, I found my ultimate Evo. An Evo VI RS Sprint. Porngoddamntastic! :approve: :approve:
....and look at the rear wing. To hell with £1.20+ per litre for petrol - I want more downforce and more drag!
On track, the usual suspects were our there. Lancia Stratos...
And through the water splash...
Marcus Gronholm was there too - doing some demonstration laps in the Stobart Focus...
...and fcuk me - was he good!
I wonder how my 182 would cope on the straight? One of the Porsches was having trouble from yesterday as they said it was too tall-geared - rated at 181mph. Perhaps a 'bit' to much for Chatsworth...
All in all, a great day out. Really warm though - I nipped back to the car for a bit at it read 33C outside. :S
I'll definitely go again next year though - if its as good as this. The fact that you were literally feet away from the cars in the 'pits' and no team had any area roped-off, really made it more enjoyable.
